Eating out on the Gold coast – A healthy, gluten free, foodies guide.

Its no secret that I LOVE food! Especially when someone else makes it for me. So its no surprise that one of my favourite things to do is discover new cafe’s and places to eat out. So often people will ask me where is a good place to go to eat, so I thought I would write this little list as a guide of some of my favourite spots to try. And no doubt I will be updating this list as more and more Cafes seem to be popping up every week, which is fine by me -The more the merrier!

The places on this list are all places I have tried myself and I keep going back to! They all offer healthy options that are gluten free, vegan and plant based!

Paddock Bakery

Breakfast & Lunch

20 Hibiscus Haven, Miami QLD 4220

Paddock is right around the corner from my house and is a favourite to stop in and grab a cup of coffee. It is amazing! Plus it’s such a cute little cafe to sit at. It almost feels as if you are at an old farm house with limes and cherry tomatoes growing outside. I love the smashed Avo – Its very generous, also if your feeling naughty try one of the freshly baked muffins – So good!

Breakfast & Lunch & Dinner

4 Lavarack Rd, Gold Coast QLD 4218

BSKT is probably my favourite cafe on the Gold Coast. Its hard to beat! It caters for the super healthy, vegans and almost the entire menu is gluten free! They are open fro breakfast and lunch and Dinner on the weekend. I love the tacos :p and the falafel salad is a winner! They also have Cocowhip, which is a coconut based ice cream whip that is amazing! Plus they have a huge enclosed child’s play area, so great for kiddies!

Commune Espresso

Breakfast & Lunch

Bam bam doesn’t have the healthiest menu. But oh my god its delicious! There are so many baked goods in the cabinet its hard to choose what to get! and their menu is full of amazing meals, with very generous portion sizes. If your after a decent breakfast – Give them a try! They are very popular and there is often a line up waiting to be seated on the weekends!

Mr Bengel

Breakfast & Lunch

1099 Gold Coast Hwy, Palm Beach QLD 4221

Mr Bengel is a new one that I have just discovered. And I have already been there a few times. Every time I find myself ordering the Gluten free pancakes! Its hard to go past pancakes for breakfast when you find some that are gluten free! Everything else on there menu looks amazing and Jarron tried the brekky salad and said it was delicious. Plus they are in a quiet spot so its nice to get away.

Wildernis Cafe and Bar

Breakfast & Lunch & Dinner

1166 Gold Coast Hwy, Palm Beach QLD 4221

Double Barrel Kitchen

Breakfast & Lunch

64 Karbunya St, Mermaid Waters QLD 4218

Double Barrel has amazing coffee and great service! They have all the usual breakfast favourites like Avo toast, smoothie bowl and eggs etc. It is hidden away in a small complex BUT it is starting to get a name for itself and its no wonder when everything is so yummy!

Elk Espresso

Breakfast & Lunch & Dinner

16 Chelsea Ave, Broadbeach QLD 4218

Elk can get very busy on the weekend and draws in a big crowd, and its no surprise when the food is so amazing. When I’m feeling especially naughty I go to Elk and get a peanut butter smoothie or Nutella smoothie. THEY ARE EPIC! Plus the food is delicious too!

Parlour Coffee

Breakfast & Lunch

34 Tallebudgera Creek Rd, Burleigh Heads QLD 4220

Parlour is a bit further out of town and I always stop in for a coffee when I’m heading South! The coffee is amazing and they have heaps of treats that i can grab for my drive. I have eaten here a few times and the breakfast salad was amazing! Really cute little place for some peace and quiet.

Breakfast & Lunch

Shop 1 / 253 Ferry Road, Southport, Gold Coast, QLD 4215

Blendlove was originally raw treats at the markets. The were super popular and always sold out and you had to wait until the markets to get their treats. I am so happy they have opened up a cafe which has an entire menu of vegan, gluten free, sugar free and allergy friendly options! Its amazing. Definitely check this one out! The Burgers are my favourite.

Greenhouse canteen and Bar

1916 Gold Coast Hwy, Miami QLD 4220

Greenhouse is a vegan heaven! The entire menu is vegan BUT you would never know! I could take even the most anti vegetable person here and they would love it. the meal sizes are huge! and I’m not exaggerating. Jarron and I never take home a doggy bag, but we did here!

The burrito is probably my favourite but the pesto pasta comes in a close second. And the entree’s are all soo yummy! Its always so hard to choose 1 thing.

It is only open for dinner and can be quite busy, so it might be best to make a booking.

The Collective

1128 Gold Coast Hwy, Palm Beach QLD 4221

the Collective is open for lunch and dinner and they have done an amazing job! The place looks amazing and has 4 different menus from 4 different kitchens.
